Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT) services are provided by a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) to students based on their individual needs outlined in the IEP. We believe that students must be able to gain educational benefit in order to fully access the least restrictive learning environment. Educational areas that may be addressed through school-based occupational therapy include attention, self-regulation, hand-writing, cognitive and perceptual skills, social skills, coordination and postural control. These skills assist students in completing written assignment and organize themselves in the classroom. The therapist might also consult with the teacher to assist in modifying the child's environment or adapting their curriculum.

Point Quest Pediatrics provides evaluation services as well as individual therapy, teacher training and consultation.
