Related mental health intervention services including but not limited to case management, counseling (individual and group), family counseling and parent trainings are conducted in conjunction with each student’s education plan and are in compliance with IDEA.
Point Quest utilizes evidence-based intervention techniques including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and educationally related mental health services (ERMHs) focusing on overcoming barriers to treatment by providing traumatized youth who live and remain in chronically stressful and unstable environments access to school-based mental health services. Treatment plans are developed with goals and objectives related to gaining access to their academic program.
